Dr Ralph Enlow

Ralph E. Enlow Jr. is Columbia International Universitys provost, responsible for the oversight of the overall educational mandate of the university. Enlow, an alumnus of both Bible college and seminary, returned to CIU as provost in April 2000 after serving for two years as the executive director of the Association for Biblical Higher Education (formerly the Accrediting Association of Bible Colleges), Orlando, Florida.
Previously, he had served at CIU for 22 years, culminating in his appointment as vice president for academic affairs. He held that position, then the universitys top academic post, from 1994 to 1998 after having been dean of the Bible college for four years. Dr. Enlow joined CIUs staff in 1976 and served in various capacities, including director of admissions, director of outreach ministries, director of alumni affairs and assistant to the Bible college dean, before his appointment as Bible college dean.
In addition to his administrative responsibilities, he has taught courses in Bible, doctrine, and educational leadership. His various publications include works on higher education accreditation, general education, and Bible college renewal.
He is chair of the board of directors of The Evangelical Alliance Mission (TEAM) and a member of Cornerstone Presbyterian Church (PCA).
For recreation he enjoys basketball, softball, golf, and fishing, as well as music and reading. He and his wife Valerie have two children, Ralph III and Evangeline.
